Author Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to HIPOTESA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial are expected to comply with the journal's editorial policies and scholarly publishing standards.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure the following requirements are met:

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript is relevant to the focus and scope of HIPOTESA, particularly social sciences, social problems, public policy, public administration, governance, community development, social welfare, and related fields.
  • The primary language of publication is Indonesian.
  • The manuscript should contain a clear title, author information, institutional affiliation, abstract, keywords, introduction, research method, results and discussion, conclusion, and references, as appropriate to the type of manuscript.
  • Authors must ensure that all quotations, data, figures, tables, and materials obtained from other sources are properly cited.
  • References should be complete, accurate, and consistent with the citation style adopted by the journal.
  • Authors are encouraged to use recent, relevant, and credible scholarly references.
  • Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct.
  • All listed authors must have made a meaningful contribution to the manuscript and must approve the submitted version.
  • Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest.
  • Where applicable, research involving human participants should comply with appropriate ethical standards.
  • Manuscripts will undergo editorial screening and peer review before an editorial decision is made.
  • Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
  • Article Submission Fee: Free.
  • The Article Processing Charge (APC) is IDR 300,000 and is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
  • The optional Fast Track Service is IDR 500,000. Fast Track only accelerates the editorial and peer-review process and does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
  • Authors whose manuscripts are accepted must complete any required revisions, metadata, copyright, licensing, and publication requirements before final publication.

By submitting a manuscript to HIPOTESA, authors confirm that they have read and agreed to the journal's editorial policies, publication ethics, copyright notice, licensing policy, privacy statement, and applicable publication fees.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Authors must confirm that the submission complies with all of the following requirements:

  • The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript is within the focus and scope of HIPOTESA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial.
  • The manuscript is written primarily in Indonesian and has been carefully proofread.
  • The manuscript has been prepared according to the journal's Author Guidelines and manuscript template.
  • The manuscript file is submitted in an editable format, preferably Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
  • The manuscript includes a clear title, abstract, keywords, introduction, research method, results and discussion, conclusion, and references, as appropriate.
  • All authors' names, institutional affiliations, and contact information have been entered correctly in the submission metadata.
  • All citations and references are complete, accurate, and consistently formatted.
  • All tables, figures, illustrations, and other materials are properly labeled and cited in the manuscript.
  • The manuscript is free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct.
  • All listed authors have made a meaningful contribution to the manuscript and have approved the submitted version.
  • Any potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • Where applicable, research involving human participants or sensitive data has complied with relevant ethical requirements.
  • The manuscript has been anonymized where required for the peer-review process.
  • The authors understand that submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
  • The authors understand that the Article Submission Fee is free and that the Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
  • The authors have read and agreed to the journal's Copyright Notice, Privacy Statement, Publication Ethics, Licensing Policy, and Publication Fee.

Authors who publish with HIPOTESA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.

All articles published in HIPOTESA are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, others are permitted to copy, distribute, reproduce, adapt, and build upon the published work, including for commercial purposes, provided that:

  • Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s).
  • The original publication in HIPOTESA: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial is acknowledged.
  • A link to the applicable Creative Commons license is provided.
  • Any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated.

Authors are permitted to distribute the published version of their article through institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks, and other scholarly platforms, provided that the original publication in HIPOTESA is properly cited.
